The Los Angeles Lakers needed to win against the Houston Rockets in every way because they were on a three-game losing run.

Even though it was the second game of a back-to-back, the Lakers needed the victory to regain momentum because-

he Rockets have the poorest record in the 2022–23 season.

LeBron James produced with a great scoring performance to help Los Angeles win knowing what was at risk.

James has been on a run ever since he turned 38, and he exploited a weak Rockets defence to great effect.

The King was successful offensively with drives to the rim, mid-range jump jumpers,

and even the deep bombs that he has been having trouble with all season.

James would end the game with a season-high 48 points on an effective 16 of 26 shooting, including a remarkable 5-of-10 from beyond the arc

and 11 of 12 at the charity stripe. For good measure, he also added eight rebounds and nine assists.
